Sometimes you just have to stop...

Who can resist a store called "The Legend of Bigfoot"?

Today was an exceptionally long travel day. It wasn't supposed to be, but we took the "scenic" route, which, while truly scenic, was really, really twisty and winding and really slow. Even so, we spent a lot of time out of the car checking out the tacky touristy shops and stops, taking pictures of scenery and waiting for Grant to get over his bouts of car-sickness.

Julia and Grant enjoyed the many wood carvings at the Bigfoot gift shop.

Grant, our resident hat-rack, got his first of two hats that he bought today!
Did you know that a coonskin hat also doubles as an elephant nose?

poor Grant, I hate being car sick. I hope that does not last for the whole journey. Any bigfoot sightings?

No bigfoot, mostly cows, horses and an occasional deer.
