Sunday Afternoon - Redwood Forest

Everyone knows that you have to get off the main highways in order to see anything interesting, so we spent most of Sunday on secondary roads. There were lots of twists and turns and beautiful scenery, but I wondered if there might be more to see that we weren't aware of. We've found that stopping at ranger stations or info centers is the best way to find out what's out there, so we stopped and were told to try out a particular road that is like "a trail that you can drive your car on." This car trail was lots of fun. We wound our way between old growth trees, dodging a few other cars and an occasional tourist.

We got out of the car to wander through the forest for a while. Everything seemed over-sized, even the clovers! Julia was feeling particularly lucky, even though she didn't find one with four leaves.
