I came across a link to this photography challenge twice this past week.
Once on Mary's blog. (She takes amazing pictures on a normal day, no one needs to challenge her!)
And once on a new friends blog, The Happy Housewife.
After spending FAR too much time browsing through the many entries, I decided to try my hand at it. However.... the category for this week was photographer's choice. For some that may seem wonderful, but I wanted some direction. I finally found a few pics that I could share, unfortunately, I'm a day late. I don't suppose they'll mind, will they?
Like the rose above, I seem to be a late bloomer.
(Ha ha... funny... get it.... awww, never mind.)

Very nice. I'd like to have a camera a bit better than the digital I have. I have camera envy when I see your's, Mary's and Leslie's pictures!
Welcome to You Capture! Of course we don't mind that you're a day late! Having "photographers choice" can be a little daunting, but you did an excellent job! I love the macro shot of the leaf and boy do you grow leaves big where you live! Great captures, looking forward to seeing you next week!
The camera that I have isn't great, but I have found that it takes great macro shots. So, I'll probably be taking a lot more of those!

Thanks for sharing your pics! Love the leaf face one... I'm also a newbie to the You Capture site, and have found everyone to be so kind, warm, and welcoming; I don't think anyone would feel the photos we post are 'wrong'...instead, I get the feeling that people just appreciate fun/beautiful/inspiring/interesting pictures to look at :D
