You Capture: What makes me happy

This week's You Capture challenge is "What makes you happy."

There were so many pictures that I could have posted, but I limited myself to these.
Taking the kids on a field trip, learning some history and taking fun pictures makes me happy.

Reading a good book always makes me happy.

Drinking homemade hot chocolate while reading a good book makes me even happier.
(However, pouring the very hot chocolate onto my thumb while ladling it out of the pot did NOT make me happy!)

Watching the children decorate the tree and not stressing (much) about where they were placing the ornaments made me happy.

Finding silly self portraits like this one when I download pictures off of my camera makes me happy.

My little wooden Christmas village makes me and the kids happy.

Finally getting the tree completely decorated and all of the boxes back downstairs made me very happy.

You are faster than me with the tree. Dad brought it up Monday and it's half done. It's missing the top while he figures out why it won't light. My favorite picture is the one of Julia reaching up with the ornament.

Yum - hot chocolate with marshmallows always makes me think of Christmas, usually after sledging!

It's great for kids to decorate the tree, I always remember decorating the tree with my sister, it was fun deciding where to put all of the ornaments.

Mmm. Hot chocolate. I've been drinking it every night before bed this week.

Also, where did you get that lovely wooden nativity set?

I love your nativity scene! So cute! I have one, but it's breakable, and I'm a bit scared to put it out with a toddler in the house!

Oh, can I live vicariously through you? We're not doing a tree this year - too much travel and it's just the two of us. So seeing your finished tree also makes me very happy! I also really liked your post about the ornament. You're right, unwrapping just one is like unwrapping a favorite memory. I'll miss that this year.
