Celebrating Grant

My wonderful, talented, intelligent, quirky little boy is a teenager today.
It's hard to believe.
It's easy to miss the sweet little baby and toddler that he was,
but I enjoy him so much at the age he is now.

Occasionally, his wardrobe choices are a little questionable.
Shoes and socks outside in the sprinkler...

Ski goggles and bare feet in the house,
but that just makes us smile!

He can be very determined...

Trying to get every last leaf off of a tree...

Or getting the high score in a dancing game...

Or perfecting the ten or more piano pieces he is currently learning.

That determination and his innate talent makes him an amazing piano player.
I'm so blessed to be able to listen to him play on a daily basis.

He's incredibly smart, hardworking and an all around great guy.
I love him so much and I am lucky to have him as part of my life.

Happy 13th Birthday, Grant!

Happy birthday to Grant! Looks like he has a great mother! I also enjoyed my boys at pretty much every age. I do miss the toddlers and young children that they were - they were so sweet! But now I have grown young men who are also sweet, and have different things to offer in our relationship. They cook for me, they teach ME things. It's wonderful! Enjoy. ;)

Oh so bittersweet, but VERY sweet! I can't even imagine my boys as teenagers yet. Those pictures that you took of Grant show him as a multifaceted person. Good job mama (raising him that is)

:) Happy Birthday to your official teen!
