I heart faces : Angles

As the kids have grown older, I find that they are less and less willing to ham it up for the camera.
Fortunately, Quincy was willing to ignore me as I took about a thousand shots of her while she was sketching the Spring blooms on the tree in our backyard.

I do love to take photos, but I know that my portraits need more work.
That is why I love "I heart faces."
With it's focus on faces, I am forced to work harder and to get better at taking portraits
and getting better is always good!

I love the serious look on her face - beautiful.

The softness of this angle is really intriguing. You can almost sense the concentration behind her eyes..... like you are a fly on the wall. LOVE this shot!

Love this shot! My little one wears glasses also & I find it so hard to get a great shot of her with her glasses on. So many times there is some kind of glare. Guess I just have to keep trying those different angles :) Beautiful...

Lovely intimate shot and the angle makes it seem like you are getting underneath her skin and going behind the protection of her glasses - nice thoughtful shot.

You do an incredible job at getting face shots. I'm not very good when it comes to getting in close. They always look wrong to me. Your focus and angle is sharp. Great shot chica!

I was going to say the same thing as Wacky Mummy: love the blurry clarity of it.

Seriously gorgeous shot.

Colleen, this is an award winning photo! I love everything about it! I don't know what you used for this pic, but if you are getting a big girl camera I can only imagine what awesome things you will do with it!

Looks to me like you can give photography lessons ~ no kidding!
