Playing with Editing

Before

After

I edited this picture in Picnik.
Yes... I own Photoshop Elements.
No, I do not know how to use it.
Not that I'm not trying... I just bought a magazine full of good tutorials
and I've recently started following Happy Chaos in the hopes getting some good tips.
(She also has pretty pictures to look at.)
I probably could have taken the time to try these pics in photoshop,
but after a glass of wine, I figured that I ought to go with the familiar.
And why does photoshop have to be so darn difficult anyway?!

You did a beautiful job on your edit. I tried out Picnik once, but I was already using Elements for quite a bit at that point. Once you get used to one software, it's hard to make the switch. I've heard tons of good things about Picnik though!

even cooler with the edit- wow. Way to go Colleen! Yeah, Picnik is my go to and it has served me well so far. I don't have any PS programs and I downloaded GIMP, but most of the stuff I know how to do on it, I can do on Picnik a whole lot quicker!
Enjoy the weekend with your camera, I mean family.

Love that edit! Beautiful! I have been playing around with photoshop, and I don't know what I am doing, but I keep trying. Maybe I should try a tutorial :).

Beautiful!!

Picnik just makes it so easy though. Somebody recently gave me photoshop, and I haven't even attempted it yet. I know I won't be able to make it work. I know I'll get overwhelmed. Until I'm in the right frame of mind, I'm sticking with whats familiar. LightRoom, Photoscape, and Picnik, hee hee.

I like the edited photo the best!

I just finished a photo class but I have to admit 90% went right over my head. So many settings on a camera and it will take me forever to learn them!
