One of my favorite things about Spring is all the flowering trees.
It's sad when the petals start to fall and all the pastels that painted the trees have gone.
So, I'm definitely enjoying the season and trying to get as many pictures as possible.
Thank you, Claritin, for making that possible. :o)
Now that I have the new camera,
I've had to readjust the way I take macro shots.
I've been using the 50mm lens to take the shot,
focusing on the item that I want to see close up,
then cropping it down quite a bit and creating the picture from there.
I spent a bit of time playing with the crop function and trying to find the "picture within the picture."
A new and different process.

beautiful blooms! the lighting is so nice in these photos, great stuff!
I love taking macro shots of flowers too. I've got a few in my macro monday entry. I love the clear detailiing of ... I can't think of the word? I know there's a word for it? Those lovely spikey bits that come from the centre of the flower. Well done.
these are wonderful pictures...
Great shots especially the last one with all details so clear and crisp

I'm so smiling at these. Exactly the kind of pics I took just this morning. My tree bloomed in the past two days. :)
Lovely shots!!
These blossoms are so very beautiful. It's interesting to see a few in the background of the second photo that have red anthers.
Thank you for the visit and comment on my Macro Monday post. =)
Sweet and lovely!
Have a great week.
Lovely depth of field and exposure. It is not easy to shoot white blossoms, but these images are well done!
Fantastic shots.
'Thank you, Claritin!' LOL!
Well, I admire you getting so close to the source of your discomfort - you got some great pictures, though!
I second what Jay commented on. THANK GOD for Claritin D.
Gorgeous picture. Great Macro! Happy capturing (and playing) with that camera of yours :)
I think we are all flower hungry after this long winter ! Very beautiful !
These are beautiful! The trees haven't really started to bloom here yet, and I'm really looking forward to getting out when they do.
That last one takes my breath away. You're doing a GREAT job with that camera of yours!
lol I had to laugh when I saw you thank Claritin. I know how you feel! a choo!
It was only yesterday that I realised that I could crop to get a good macro. Your blossom blooms look so delicate and your macro photos make them look even better.
Wonderful photos!

Macro Monday
I love your first photo. I have decided that you, along with Jill at Count Your Chicken, get my vote for "photo I like best this week." Well done!
Love the soft colors in your shots. Really beautifully captured! (great blog too by the way~~)
These are wonderful! I love the dainty flowers! Ours haven't started blooming yet.
Hi Colleen,
I adore white flowers. Love the effects and composition especially in the top one, although it's hard to choose. Glad Claratin is working for you. It stopped working the "little bit" it used to for me; I have severe allergies. I see you're putting your new cam to great use!
