A teaser and an explanation

Those of you who have been reading my posts in regard to this vacation know that I've been a little circumspect about the exact location of my vacation.
It's not exactly a deep dark secret, but I've chosen not to type the actual words into my blog.
You see, back when I posted about our carriage ride in NYC someone googled it and linked it up to a message board on Tripadvisor.
Nothing particularly bad came of that (just an increase in blog traffic and that's not bad, I guess),
but it was an uncomfortable feeling that someone I didn't know linked my post up without asking me.

So, in this case, knowing the politically charged nature of this location,
I choose not to type in the name of the place,so I don't get some weird cranky person googling it and linking it somewhere or making weird comments on my blog,
but I'm happy to show you, my favorite blog readers, where we were.

So now you know!
I've definitely got enough fodder for several posts, but today is just a teaser.

The beaches were amazing!
Quincy said that she was never swimming in any other water other than the Caribbean from now on,
she's just fancy like that!

Iguanas!!!
They were so cool.
I cannot wait until I get that full post up for you to see.
We had several pretty intense and incredible encounters with these guys.
I even have video to share.

Sunsets and sunrises.
Yes, I purposely set the alarm and woke up early to watch a sunrise!
It was definitely worth it.
Now... if I were to do it all over again, I'd have taken far more pictures.
There are many areas where photography is prohibited and that kind of intimidated me,
so it took me a while to feel completely comfortable with pulling my camera out on base.

Not to worry though... I still have lots to share.

I'm glad you're home and very happy that Dan came back too for his "mini"-vacation! Is the iguana encounter scary?

If these are just teasers, can't wait to see the full on show- WOW!! You were seriously that close to a wild iguana?! So so cool!

Can't wait to see and hear more! Would you recommend that area as a good destination for vacation? Or just the Caribbean in general? I've always wanted to go... maybe I should!

Now there can't be many people who can say they've been *there* for a holiday! :D

Iguanas are wonderful creatures ... at a distance! I look forward to seeing more photos.

That iguana reminds me of my chickens! I know you won't believe me but it's true.

Were you THAT close to that stupid iguana or were you zooming in on him? Eeeekkkk. I wouldn't be anywhere near that thing. Oh, and did you have the pleasure of seeing a banana rat while you were there?

What a great way to communicate without the googlers finding you!
