Why I'll never make dinner again.

At least not when there is light like this.

I certainly got a lot of mileage from that one day at Manassas battlefield.

We really didn't have to wander far from the parking lot to find stuff to do and to look at.

Markers to read.

and gravestones to consider.

Julia bounded across the field like a little puppy and threw herself into the long grass.
"Look how tall this grass is, Mom!"

and where else can you cuddle up with a canon?

(Oh! wait... I have been known to cuddle with my Canon XSi.
Loving this camera!)

I have no clue what she was doing or pretending to be, but this one makes me laugh every time.  :)

Those are some stunning pics! It reminds me of seeing the battlegrounds at Lexington in Massachusetts, not far from where we lived in Boston, though it's not as isolated as that. I can see why you'd rather be out there than stuck in the house.

Julia is very photogenic! The last picture of her cracks me up -- it reminds me of goofing around with my sisters when we were kids.

My favorite picture of this bunch is Julia standing in the field. She's not looking a the camera or posing...a very nice candid shot!

These are so beautiful! The colors and light are just amazing.

My favorite part of You Capture by far is coming to see what everyone else is doing. Here's hoping that some of y'all's talent will rub off on me.

I love her expression in that last shot! Too funny!!! And I love the energy of children! I would be too scared to run into long grass, fearing snakes, lol. But you had great lighting! Wonderful shots every one!
