For this week's You Capture challenge we were given a choice of topics,
Green, Chairs or Hands.
Knowing that I was going to be spending time with family,
I figured that I would have any number of hand models,
so I chose hands.
You know... I don't really think about hands on a regular basis,
but they're awfully important.
Without them, you couldn't haul yourself up ropes.
(Yes... I do that every day. Don't you?)
They are good for holding things while you are pondering life.
(Consider the grass...)
They speak in silent ways.
They inform and direct.
And bring good things to your life.
Use them to feed the fish...
Or discover nature.
and when you are done....
you can fold them in rest.
(Love you, Gram!)

So many great shots. Love them all, especially the last one.
Those hands are great. I love the wee little froggy guy. We find those too and the kids are amazed at the tinyness (not a word, but you get it!)
Ooh, what a tiny frog! I bet the kiddos loved that. I know mine would. My favorite shot is the directing picture (we do a lot of that in our house) and your gram's hands.
I'm like never dressed up for those on my minds, ha. The only time I have the time to write is during morning cartoons. Hence the jammies. :) Maybe I should make time some evening. Hopefully before I change back into jams. he he...
Another great group of shots. Your itty bitty froggy friend is the best...as are your Grandma's hands!
oh your children have all sorts of adventures!
These are great shots and I love how you told a story with your pictures...great!
I love this! I love the hands cupping the frog and the pic of Avery and especially the one of grams hands :D Awesome post!
Oh look at that tiny tiny frog! I love the "discovering nature" shot best. Great job with hands, and glad to see you back again Colleen.
I was confused when I saw Les's little ones first... :) I love the last photo.
What a nice "picture story"! How you put it together worked well. Love Mom's hands! The kids waving, eating, discovering are great too! What exactly is Julia eating? Ice cream? Yummy!
Gotta love the older hands!! my fav!!
great shots. My favourite is your gran's hands as well. Beautiful.
Well, I was all ready to say the froggy one was my favorite, but boy, the last one just grabbed me. So many stories in that shot. That one got me.
I'm really glad you chose hands! It's true they do so much, and we think of them so little.
You Hands photos are incredible! It must be because of your amazing photography skills and your creativity. I've just been perusing a few of your recent posts and I'm very impressed.
