One of the best things about traveling...

Was this...
Our first bloggy meet-up!!!
(Or what we have been jokingly calling our first Match.com date.)

Please, Leslie and TJ, forgive me for posting this picture, but I do love it.
(Even though I have about thirty chins.)
(And I'm sorry that I don't have my silly face on, I had it, but then I couldn't stop laughing.)

Some of you have already read TJ's account of the meet-up here.
Honestly, the only bad thing about it was that we can't make it a regular occurrence!
It was good to know that the connections that we've made on-line through our blogs
can carry over to real life.
I genuinely enjoyed spending time with and getting to know TJ.

(I enjoyed spending time with Leslie too, but she's my sister and I see her all the time!)

And I got to meet TJ's adorable little Bear
who was slightly overwhelmed to meet so many strangers at once,
but after a little ice cream therapy, he warmed right up and spent the time entertaining the big girls.

Before we left for this meet up, my husband, in a moment of playing devil's advocate, asked me how I knew that this person that I've only "met" on the blog was who she said she was.
How did I know that she wasn't some creepy stalker dude?
I thought about that for about half of a second then started laughing really hard.
Because, anyone who has read TJ's blog would be pretty certain that she was indeed a girl.
(She is, by the way, and she is just as real and as warm and fun as she comes across on the blog.
Besides... with eleven of us converging on just one TJ, if anyone should have been worried, it should have been her!
Fortunately, it turns out that none of us are crazy psychos, so all is good.

After visiting with TJ and getting a glimpse of the amazing state that she lives in,
I've decided that I could definitely live in Vermont.

After all it has the Vermont Country Store which is like a Cracker Barrel Store on steroids!

and Ben and Jerry's ice cream!
Yum!

If you ever get a chance to meet up with another blogger, I definitely recommend it.
I can only hope that I get to meet more of you wonderful people!
Anyone making a trip to DC in the near future?

HA!! That is awesome :D I think I recognized Bear before I recognized TJ - maybe it was the goofy face. That sounds like so much fun.

Awwwww!!! :))) TJ is such a delightful read/person. I would love to meet her/you as well!

And the description "craker barrel on steroids" has me UBER HUNGRY NOW. Thanks for that Colleen.

Also- THANK YOU for your birthday wishes. They were accepted gratefully. I had a rather cranky day yesterday so it was nice to see such a wonderful comment from you friend.

Now I must rummage through my fridge and TRY not to eat pie for breakfast. lol...
