How to clog your arteries in one short day...

 Very simply...
Go to the fair!

The food... oh my goodness... the food!
We definitely didn't eat it all and there were many things that we steered clear of, but I'm sure the damage was done.

Between the eleven of us that went to the fair we managed to consume (or at least taste):
One Smothered baked potato,Beef Brisket sandwich, Gyro, Caramel Apple, Fried cheese, Fried Oreos, Fried Reeses, Fried Dough (Funnel Cake), Fried Mac and Cheese, Fried Pickles, French Fries,
Fried Ice Cream, Regular ice cream, Strawberry shortcake, Pizza, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, four apples,
and several gallons of iced tea...

We did stick our noses up at the Donut Burger and the Pork Parfait.
(Doesn't the name "pork parfait" just make you want to throw up a little!?
And don't get me started on the insanity that is a donut burger!)

Most of the fried food that we bought was to pass around for everyone to try a little taste.
I had a small bite of the fried reeses.
Don't bother ruining your reeses this way... they are perfectly good without being fried.

Fried pickles, however, totally lived up to the hype!!
So much less greasy than most of the other fried food and soooooo good.

OMG I'm terribly jealous of the fried oreos... every time i go to any sort of fair with food vendors like that i look for them. My favorite item for sure. and what the heck is a donut burger???? That's just odd.

Wow! Some selection. I'm glad to see that you managed to eat healthy with the addition of the apples! I would have been in line for fried dough!

Oh, how I love the fair! I eat lots of similar foods at the Minneosota State Fair, and my arteries are glad that it only comes around once a year!

Oh scrumptious. Minus the Pork Parfait of course because WHAT is that about?! I'd actually seen the donut burger on tv once and everyone raved...wonder if you can do a veggie version... :)
