Supplement your education with Monty Python

The history book that I was reading to the kids for their lesson this week said,
"Men were hired to pull huge wagons called plague carts through the streets, shouting, 'Bring out your dead!' so that the bodies could be collected and dumped into huge pits."

At which point, I started to giggle.

The kids didn't get it.  What on earth about that sentence is so funny?

So I showed them...

Giggling yet?

That dang black plague... it'll get you every time!!

Monty Python is possibly one of the most insanely ridiculous, hilarious (but not funny at the same time) best wastes of time ever invented by man.

LOL!!! The other day DH and child #2 were wrestling with the vacuum cleaner to remove a guitar string someone had sucked up and gotten stuck on the beater bar.

They were argueing about how best to get it off (and for the record, it's my machine and in the end I was the only one able to do it) I here DH say, "it doesn't matter where you grip it..."

And as I walked out of the room I muttered, "it's not a question of where he grips it... it's a question of weight ratios..." My son was VERY confused and DH just had to laugh.
