Tagged! I'm it...

A couple of weeks ago, Lyndsay from Austin Antics tagged me to answer a few questions.   I bet she thinks that I forgot about it or blew it off, but I didn't.   I started to write a post that same night with the responses to these questions, but was VERY tired.  I found myself typing with my eyes closed and eventually dozing off entirely in the middle of a sentence.  I'm pretty sure that posting while sleeping is not a great idea.  It's probably right up there with posting while drunk.  The post ends up being long, rambling and possibly nonsensical.  Looking back at the post I was trying to write while I was dozing off, I realized that I wrote a rather long answer to a question that hadn't even been asked!  Really, I should just learn to go to sleep and leave the computer behind!

Now that I'm awake (and only two+ weeks later), I'm finally finishing this up.

1. We all have a favorite season, but what is your favorite thing about each season?
Spring is just a relief after all the cold and snow. I love the flowers and all the pretty colors... but I hate the allergies.

Summer would be great if it weren't so hot.  Yuck.  The best thing about summer is vacation time at the beach.  Any beach will do, but I love Maine especially.

Fall might be my favorite!  The colors... the crisp air... the light... pumpkins... pumpkin pie... pumpkin latte... pumpkin chocolate chip cookies... my birthday... Thanksgiving!  Yep, I like Fall.

Winter is quiet and peaceful.   I like snow (just not three feet of it.)  I love Christmas and the solstice and even New Years.

2. If you could have any breakfast item brought to you in bed tomorrow morning, what would it be?

Here's the thing....  I really don't like breakfast in bed.  Not that I'm inherently opposed to it, but since I get out of bed about an hour before my early riser and many hours before the others, I would have to sit in bed and wait for a very long time before anyone finally gets up, goes downstairs, makes the breakfast and brings it to me.  I really do not want to wait around for that to happen.  So, feel free to take me out to breakfast, but don't expect me to twiddle my thumbs and wait for two hours or more until someone brings me something to eat.

3. What is one hobby that you wish you could take up?

If I could play the piano like my son, Grant, I'd be very happy.

4. What is your guilty pleasure?

I'm supposed to feel guilty?

5. What is your favorite holiday and why?

Christmas might be the obvious answer and I really do love it but....
Some years, Thanksgiving can be my favorite.

Geeking out together.

Playing together.

Everyone pitching in to make some part of the dinner.

Then happily eating it all.
YUM

I hate spring allergies too. And I sort of hate spring, in Texas at least, because that means that summer is coming. And summer here is just too brutal for my liking.

This was cool. I love Autumn best! The colours, the smells and a break from the wet heat until the freezing snow comes. Also, I look better in dark colours than the shades of Easter.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Isn't Seattle beautiful?

Agree, agree, agree. :) breakfast in bed is also very messy and it's just as nice to eat it sitting at the table.
