Inspiration

This week we were tasked with finding things that inspire us.

That picture right there of Julia....
THAT inspires me.
It's so dreamy that it makes me think that I should have lots of dreamy and flowery words in this post.
But I'm usually not a flowery word kind of girl.

Pictures like that inspire me to try just a little harder and to go out of my box a little more
because the results just thrill me.

Sometimes my dreams inspire me. :)
Last night I dreamed that I had a tripod.  I even remember the brand name, Bebo.
It was lightweight  but sturdy and folded up into a small bag about the shape and size of an umbrella cover.
It was like watching an infomercial  in my head.
I woke up and was determined not to forget about it, so I got on the computer and looked up "bebo tripods" with the thought that maybe I had heard the name somewhere and it was stored deep in my subconcious.  Guess what I found?!  I was so close!  They're BENBO!
(Seriously I just found that out as I was writing this.)
I have no clue where I've heard of this brand.  It rings absolutely NO bells in my awake brain.
ANNNND... having said all this, I don't see any Benbo tripods that fit my dream's specifications,
but I probably do need a tripod and should probably look a little further,
so I have been inspired!

Now, I need to shop for a tripod.

(and if my husband is reading this and wondering what is wrong with the tripod I have...
it has been a child's play toy for so long that it no longer has all of it's parts.)

I hadn't intended to take Julia out and make her my model (once again),
but the light was so beautiful and she was so cute.

(I'd love to reach into that picture and fix her wind blown hair.)

She was the one that inspired me to take this picture.
She took a look at it and asked what the pegs were for
then she stood directly under it and said,
"Hey, this would be a cool picture."
(and it is!)

I love that.

The dream may have been kismet. Tripods are awesome and even if you have to go for a cheaper one (like mine) it is still a major help in getting just that shot that you want.

Speaking of getting just that shot... OMG the LIGHT in the first 2 pictures. Divine! I want that light. It is so grey here right now. Those pictures are gorgeous, they INSPIRE me. They do!

VERY inspiring! I love all your shots :D I am with Alita on that amazing light. You couldn't let that just slip by, right? So, if/when you get the extension tubes, the word is that a tripod is key too. It really helps if you want to get into the macro stuff.

Oh, I LOVE this time of year... it does not get any better than this. Great shots, and I wouldn't fix her hair cause it's real.
Oh, and I've been coveting a tripod too, but haven't looked too seriously yet:-)

You did have some great light in those photos. I'd be inspired too. Your girl is beautiful too.

Truly inspiring...it's the little things. The things that jump out to make us freeze the image and the things imbedded in our brains.
Love this.

Lovely post! And what an inspiration you are for your daughter! Since I've been snapping more photos my daughters are so much more aware of the beauty all around us and often want to take hold of the camera. I think a lot of that comes from them seeing what we do!

Wow--it's so fun to see how much your photography grows with each post! And tripods are super helpful especially if you want to move to fully manual!! :)

Those pics of Julia are both stunning--frame and gallery worthy!

That first photo is stunning and for some reason I really love the last picture of the bird. I can't stop staring at him.

Very nice photos! You're very creative. Julia's cute!! Can't wait to give her a hug next week. Her windblown hair tells me that it was windy at your house too yesterday.

I love the dreaminess of the first shot as well. How funny about the dream and the name being so close to an actual tripod brand!

I love the uniqueness of the last 2 pictures. I too am in need of a new tripod but it's an investment that will have to wait a while since my hubby bought me a new camera today! I have been biten by the photography bug after taking a class recently and I too dream about tripods.
