Candlelight Service

Christmas carols and hymns sung as a choir.
A moment of peace.
Songs sung by candlelight, the whole family and many of your friends surrounding you.
This is my favorite part of Christmas.

Taking time to remember that Christmas is so much more and yet so much simpler than we make it out to be.
It doesn't need all of the trappings to make it Christmas.
A quiet moment, a song, a hymn of praise is all we need.

Oh come, Oh come Emmanuel is one of my very favorite Christmas songs. It instantly puts me in church. My soul longs for it actually. I do love ALL the holiday songs, but really the secular ones are my faves.

There is nothing like the right song {in fact, I ADORE the one you have pictured} to put me in the right frame of mind.
I agree with Alita --my soul longs for this song to be sung, loudly, clearly, resounding.
Thank you for sharing this!

I LOVE Christmas music. I love it when people sing Christmas music together and with me!! and I love that song. I can't wait to take Andrew to the Christmas Eve service. Last year we left when he kept yelling, yes really yelling, that he wanted Jingle Bells!! He was mad that they didn't take requests. If he did the same thing this year I would just laugh and sit right there, enjoying the moment. :)
