The Joy of Love: Week One

Sometimes, when you live with the same people everyday, you forget to really look at them.

Even as I was taking these pictures, I was paying more attention to the settings on my camera
and trying to get those right, rather than really looking at the people I love.

Even looking at each of these photos individually doesn't compare to having them all smooshed together in a collage.

There they all are, looking back at me, and I start to notice the details.

I think Grant has Dan's nose.
and
Does Julia have my dad's nose?
and
Hey... Kevin and Natalie have matching shoulder bling!  :)

More than anything, I noticed just how much I LOVE them all.

And that's a good feeling to be overwhelmed with.

I adore this collage! What an amazing collection of memories.

Oh and...no, we got nuttin. I'm still bummed. Dallas and College Station got our snow. We got icky, boring ice. BOOOOOOOOO. I want to find the weather guy and kick him (OK, not really, but it makes me feel better to say I would!)

Very sweet! So true. Sometimes I have to remind myself to just put my camera down, so I can actually be present. Lovely pics.

I can read the blog at work but can't comment. I have to wait until I get home. I love the collage and immediately set it as my desktop at work. What is Julia loving to hate?

That collage is really cool. I'm not a picture taker, but this post made me think about pictures differently. I am inspired to take more photos and to "see" my loved ones. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Wonderful photos, Colleen. I too sometimes see things in a photo that I'd missed when taking the shot.
