Do chickens tell secrets?

... 'Cause, I think maybe these two were sharing a secret.

Or maybe, they were plotting their attack.

I'm pretty sure that they weren't particularly fond of being photographed.

This white one looks all cute and sweet.
She came up to me and wandered around my feet plucking bugs off the ground
that is... until she decided to peck at my leg!

Not cool, chicken, not cool.

(Unless, of course, she was plucking a bug off my leg.  In which case, thank you very much.)

This guy made a lot of noise...
did a lot of cock-a-doodle-dooing while giving me the "side-eye."

Then he decided to come down from his perch and bring that side-eye a little closer to me.

When Mr. Foghorn Leghorn started to make a bee-line for me,
I decided to back off.

I was pretty sure that I had enough chicken pictures for one day.
And you know...
Once plucked, Twice shy.

This post brings back memories of Grandpa John's farm. Remember his chickens? I know they were around when your sisters were little. Dad has a saying about chickens..."a good chicken is a ____ chicken!" Can you fill in the blank?

LOVE this! :D

You were right to move away when Mr. Leghorn headed towards you. I know that look. He's up to no good. Darn roosters.

What fancy chickens! I love the first picture where they are telling a secret. Do you think they were gossiping about that lady that keeps sticking a camera in their face? :)
