Getting outside

The winter was far too long and summer is just around the corner
so when we get these amazing days that are not too hot and not too cold
I make sure that we get out in it for a little while.
When we left the house, I didn't have a particular destination in mind,
but the kids did,
they wanted to head straight to this rock in the middle of the creek.

It's a good thinking rock.

If I had known just how pretty it would be, I would have brought my "real" camera,
but all I had was my iphone.

I'll have to come back here for a photo shoot.
I just love the reflections in the water.

And I love that this gives the kids a chance to pretend to be country kids.

Love the composition of your last one. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with these pics, I think you'll have to let the kids drag you back there again... you know... with your real camera. :) I can only imagine what you might have captured otherwise.

These shots have me singing the Simon and Garfunkel song "I am a Rock." What a gorgeous spot! =>

Those leaves....BEAUTIFUL! We cooled off here so now I'm back to wanting to be outside.

Your phone takes some nice pictures. I like the leaves and sun one. Grant was in his element with the rocks.

Growing up, we had a "Big Hill" that us neighborhood children would always flock to; even though it's now gone and replaced by a housing development, I still have such fond memories of it. I'm sure this rock holds the same memory giving vibe for your gang :). And you know what's cool? Is that there seems to be no one there and yet you aren't in the ruralest (if that's a word) of spots, so well done! That's a great find and TOTALLY in need of a photo shoot.

What a great thinking rock, and I love the sunlit leaf shot as well. These make me miss the woods behind my childhood home.
