I've often seen blog posts where people take ten pictures on the tenth day of the month, one every hour
and I've thought it sounded like a fun thing to do, but I ALWAYS forget!
But... thanks to the magic of facebook,
a little birdie (Alita) reminded me that it was 10 on 10 day!
Thank you, Alita...
Here is a day in my life.
7:30
Woke up this morning to a dusting of snow and evidence that I wasn't just imagining that skunky smell.
He's out there somewhere and he's been walking on my porch!
8:30
Julia's breakfast of champions?
(I have since cleaned up all those crumbs.)
(Yikes!)
9:30
Geography time
10:30
The "I finished my schoolwork super early!" happy dance.
(Just one picture could not contain that exuberance.)
11:30
I finally find time for a shower.
TMI??
12:30
While emptying the dishwasher, I took a moment to set up this shot.
(Yes, people... I lead an exciting life... I know.)
: /
1:30
Our one and only winter storm knocked a branch off of one of our cherry trees.
I went out and "rescued" a bunch of branches with the hopes that I could force and early bloom by putting them in a vase.
I had just decided that it wasn't going to work
(I have a black thumb)
when I noticed that the buds were changing and that little mini-flower buds were starting to pop!!
Before you know it, I'll have cherry blossoms in my house, but not outside for a while.
(One can only hope that these are not the cause of my spring allergies!)
2:30
Hmmm... time for another picture, what can I do?
Hey! The mailman just dropped off the mail.
Why don't I stick the camera into the mailbox, set the timer and see what happens?
Oh, sure... it's crooked and there are things I could have done differently,
but I live on a busy road at a street light where cars line up and people stare at me wondering,
"Why the heck is that woman shoving her camera into her mailbox?"
So, after four or five tries, I figured this was good enough.
Besides, it kind of makes me giggle.
:D
3:30
Cleaned out and organized the pantry.
(Yep... still living on the wild side.)
4:30
After torturing my kids by taking stupid pictures that they really didn't want on my blog,
I turned around and saw this shadow.
Is it kind of like the groundhog?
If I see "a" shadow will spring come early?
5:30
Taken with my cell phone while on the way to the girls' riding lessons.
Not bad for a cell pic.
And that's where it ends, folks, since soon thereafter darkness descended upon the earth
and there was no more light,
therefore no pictures of the pretty horses.
:(
