Fun in the snow

Once we got over the shock of snow in APRIL!, the kids decided to make the most of it.
It was nice to have enough snow to play in.
Meet Bucky the Snowman.

Julia and Grant were out until 8:30 last night building this snowman. The side benefit of having snow in April is that you have so many more hours to get out there and enjoy it. By the time the kids came in, it was too dark to take pictures, but we got out there first thing this morning and Bucky was still there waiting patiently for his photo shoot. Grant and Julia are still out there playing, getting in every last moment of snow before it melts.

I love Julia's face in this picture. This was her response when Madeline mentioned that her mother had juice and maybe she would let them make slushies. They took off right after that and I honestly don't know if they were allowed to make slushies. I'd say yuck! but they had already eaten alot of the snow plain. I guess it couldn't hurt to add some flavor. Maybe.

Is it still snowing? It doesn't look like your snow will last very long. You snapped that pic of the girls at just the right moment Colleen. Julia's face is precious. Hey, a ?. Do the kids read our blogs?

The kids love to read all the blogs and always check the comments to see what people said about ours.

The snow is almost gone now, but we are still getting occasional flurries in between rain showers.

Love the face. I could use slushie right now. It was sunny yesterday but it's raining today in DC. It actually makes me happy because it reminds me of home...of course snow would be better.
