Julia had her birthday party yesterday with eight of her friends from school. We decorated picture frames and played games. I'm exhausted now, but I think she had fun, so it was worth it. Next week, for Julia's real birthday, things will be much more low key.

Maybe next year we can be around for Julia's 9th birthday!! That's something we miss being a part of. I have a question. Why is the cake cut so oddly?
Everyone wanted a specific part of the cake and I played along. It does look funny though.
