More Wildlife in Great Falls VA

Bambi!!
We saw this little guy lying in the grass just a few yards from the walkway. Momma was nowhere to be seen , but we are hoping that she'll be back for her baby soon.

This was at Great Falls National Park. The visitor center called it the Niagra of the South, but I think that's a rather bold claim. It was a pretty place and beside the deer, we also saw a lot of Great Blue Herons. I've never seen so many in one place before!

Grant wasn't as miserable as he looks, he just hasn't been willing to give me a full braces smile.

I think the people that named it the Niagara of the South should take a trip North for a comparison. I'll bet on the North winning by a landslide. The kids are getting so big! Dan is looking pretty good too.

word verif...falindan which could mean fall in Dan!

I like the word verification! That's funny.

Well....I do like the fall, so maybe the word verification is seasonal. If I fall down today that will be freaky...but it could be a prediction for my next round of rollerblading.

Great Falls was a lot of fun..not as impressive as Niagara but it's the great outdoors compared to most places around here.

Wow--I so love the pic--how fun to capture! And I can't believe your family! Last time I saw you Quincy was a 2 year old with bright blond hair. :)
