Creativity in the playground

In the post-Thanksgiving quietness, my sister and I hear my teen call from the other room,
"Your daughters are carrying around a tree."
We wondered for a moment whether that was an issue worthy of leaving our cozy (and well deserved) spots on the couch. We didn't think it could be too awful, but after we heard the teenage laughter (a rare sound) we became curious enough to get up and check things out.

This is what we saw.

Apparently, when the powers-that-be decided to take seesaws out of playgrounds, they didn't count on the kids making them out of stray logs!

Leslie and I watched for a while to determine whether this was a dangerous situation.
Nothing too terrible pinged the mommy radar. The log seemed sturdy and there were no other children on the playground, so we decided to let happy children play and peaceful mommies rest.
It was a good hour for all of us.
