You Capture: Work

Last night my son asked me, " Do you realize that your last eight posts were about snow?"
He may think that I'm being a bit repetitive, but when you get this much snow,
what else is there to talk about?!
Due to all of this snow, there has been a distinct lack of work going on around here.
The kids had an unplanned mid-winter break from school.
They had two days off last week and the entire week off this week!
Playing in the snow, playing video games and having sleepovers with neighborhood friends took the place of school work.
I have yet to hear any complaints from them about this.
No one has suffered from boredom.
They are quite content to sleep in and sit around the house in their pj's or to get out and build trenches and caves in the snow.

Poor, poor, neglected school books.

There were a few things that worked overtime this week.
My dishwasher...

And my dryer!
Winter clothes were being dried inside and out of the dryer, using every last bit of residual heat that machine gives off.
A never-ending process!

I'm going to head over to Beth's blog to see how everyone else captured "Work" this week.

*edit*  I just spent some time looking at everyone's pictures and it made me antsy and I think I need to go do some housework, so look at their blogs at your own risk!

I didn't post because I (naively) thought stay-at-home mom isn't technically work. It sure feels like work most days, though! Nice captures. =)

Snow seems to be a popular topic this week. Stopping by from You Capture to spread some bloggy love.

That is a crazy TON of snow!!

Hopefully the kids will go back soon and your appliances can get a break! ;)

Great captures of the craziness your snow has brought to your household. I really like the shot of your dishwasher. Kind of edgy.

The kids snuggled up under blankets on the couch look so comfortable!

Just our curiosity, how did you get the picture in your blog title to be centered? I have been trying (without luck) to use a stretched template and when I add the picture it puts it over to the left. Uggg...any advice?

I like when you post because I know you are still SURVIVING down there LOL!! Looks like you are all nested in just fine- especially by the cozy couch shot :)

It is NEVER a bad thing to write about snow! It's fun and makes me so jealous. Wish we had it happen like that over here, that everything is out of order because of the snow. It doesn't get better right? So enjoy this time!

I forgot to check what the topic was, so I did not join either. It looks like they had a great time NOT working! LOL!

The snow pictures are amazing. I just can't even imagine it... we have already had spring-like weather here. Well, except for today (39 degrees). ;)

My goodness! That is a lot of snow! No wonder they're all off school. I'm glad they're having a fun time - it's probably worth all that catching up they'll have to do later!

All that snow makes me very sad. I'd be in a corner curled up in the fetal position by now.
