All together now...

My oldest is a senior in high school.
He's found his group/ clique/ niche in the JROTC class.
Not only has he made a number of friends there,
but he's also received numerous awards and recognition for the work that he's put into it.
This year he has been in charge of the color guard.

(There's a very specific, military title for this, but I can't remember it...
maybe it's just "color guard commander"...
Geez... not only am I a bad military wife, but now I'm a bad military mom.
Can't remember anything!)

Anyhow... one thing they work quite hard on is keeping "together."

Check out their feet in each picture...

Doing pretty good, huh?

I don't know how they do that, but it is sooo cool. I know you're proud of your son.

How many hours of marching practice must have gone into that! Very impressive.

Don't worry mom you've got enough other things to keep straight! How very cool for him to find something that fits so perfectly. They look amazing!

They look very good! I bet it takes a lot of practice to march in unison.

I wonder if Charlie will get involved in ROTC? Or... if he'll join the military like his Daddy? Or if the girls will?

...this post was wonderful. The pictures were great, and the captions gave me chills. Maybe just because we're military, and it got me curious about our future. But also, your son looks so cute, or... um.. handsome... in his uniform.

Am I allowed to say that? Or does that make me creepy in a cougar sort of way? Hahah
