Fourth of July

My time on the east coast is coming to an end, so we spent this week visiting family
getting in as much quality time with them as possible.
Waiting around for the fireworks gave us a little time to hang out.
Which means... Dan and Mitch wrestled and squished each other's faces.

We watched in fascination as Delilah smiled and cooed and made silly faces and sounds.

And appreciated from afar Mitch's collection of critters

(Well... most of us were able to do that.
He seemed to enjoy getting them as close as possible to his mother's face.
I guess the reaction he got was totally worth it. )

We dyed Quincy's hair and think that the new hair color suits her nicely
(it's redder)
The girls amused themselves by poking each other in the forehead....
?????

Kevin listened to his music

But he also made time to stick his nose into the kids pictures

(Mitch's dragonfly also made the shot.)

Grant kept busy rolling grass into balls...

My youngest sister, Kate, hung out with her boyfriend.

The kids (and maybe some of the grownups) danced to the music and generally goofed around.

Then... finally.... the main event!

The kids settled in

And watched quietly.
Ooohing and aahing in all the right places.

But Dan still had a little goofing off left in him.

Happy (Belated) Fourth of July!
