Need a little Spring in your step?

Goodness!  This winter has packed quite a wallop!
Here in VA we've had more than our share of snow,
but now all of that snow is melting and turning everything to mud.

Mud season... ain't it great.

While I enjoy watching the snow falling,
making snowmen,
and getting warmed up with hot chocolate and other comfort foods,
I do not love the look of the dirty snowbanks and mushy-muddy lawns.
 Yuck.

But I feel Spring coming.
Maybe it's not coming soon enough,
Maybe I've been suffering from a bit of cabin fever,
but it is on the way.

I hope.

In the meantime...
I've decided to create my own Spring and bring some green into the house.
It's the best I can do for the moment.
I'm hoping that the snow will finish melting
and that the spring flowers will start blooming.
SOON!

Lovely macro shot of the rose - if Spring won't come to us, we'll come to it!

Such a soft sweet picture Colleen. I really like it. I'm sure I would love to smell it even more.

I do the same thing by the way. When I'm tired of the snow I go to the grocery store and buy a $10 bouquet to brighten up the living room or my bedroom. It really puts me in the mood. Spring IS on it's way chica!

um, I kinda liked it when you posted pretty white pictures as opposed to MUD. Don't worry, you saved face with the gorgeous rose :)

Mud season will descend upon me up here eventually too, but usually that coincides with sugaring season and I'm cool with that!

Oh, and... just saw your You Capture follow up- very cool! A simple red magnet? Really?! So glad to be back!!!!! XOXOXOXO TJ

I think your rose ushers in a hopeful spring. I pushed the envelope a bit more on Sunday and posted a picture of a red tomato..it just screamed summer to me :)
I didn't think your "you capture" pics were brong at all!

WHat a wonderful rose photo. It does help a bit with the winter blues. I am there too. Can't wait for spring. ~Visit my site, Gardenshoesonline is giving away $200 for signs of spring. who couldn't use $200 to buy some great stuff? check it out if you get a chance. Looks like you had a lot of fun touring Terra Cotta warriors. It's always nice to get out and do something a bit different.
