Iguanas.
They were everywhere on our vacation to this place.
Here's one that came wandering through all of our belongings.

If he was going to get all into my stuff,
I figured it might be a good time to get up close and personal.

He posed rather nicely, don't you think?
Then like any good mother would do,
(insert sarcasm and rolled eyes here)
I allowed a total stranger talk me into letting the kids feed this iguana.
The kids were pretty much thrilled
and so was the iguana,
but what was I thinking?!
Ummm... I wasn't.
It all seemed fairly harmless and it probably was,
but I have a post planned for tomorrow (complete with video) that may negate that thought.
We'll call it... when good iguanas go bad.
This one... despite the fact that he was sticking his tongue out at me,

I like your second one, the close-up head shot, the best. What a handsome dude!
The iguana seems tame, it doesn't bother anyone , does it? it probably got too used to the camera! lol
Great photos! I wouldn't feed a wild animal. Just scares me. You never know when they might "go bad".
Wow! those pictures are cool! I love the one with his tongue out! What a fun vacation! :) I think I keep writing that...but that is because I keep thinking it!
Great iguana shots!
Wonderful detail - he is so ugly that he's cute.
Great shots but I'd certainly be nervous about getting too close! They're like little dinosaurs aren't they? :)
I love how it poses for the camera. Great shots
Wow, amazing pictures. Especially the last one. :)
Thank´s for your comment on my blog.
He looks like something from Jurassic Park! How cool you were able to get so close to him/her! Great macros, I loved it!
That last photo is just how I feel about the very iguana...I'd be sticking my tongue out and running for the hills. LOLOLOL
Brave kids.
My Macro is HERE. I do hope you can find time to stop for a visit with me today!
Hi hi that last photo is so cute, it is a great shot :)
I love iguanas. We got close up and personal with them in St. Thomas but I never had an episode of the "when good iguanas go bad" I'm looking forward to the video, especially since it sounds like nobody really got harmed in the making of it.
GREAT SHOTS!!!!!
Awesome shots - isn't it dangerous?
Thanks for stopping by :)
Wow what a fascinating lil creature. Your photos have such clear crisp detail I felt like he was right in front of me. So glad he is not lol
VERY cool shots! I bet the kids were thrilled! I might have been more cautious, but then, when I think about some of the things I let my boys do when they were young, maybe not! LOL!
The last one is amazing!
Marvelous closeups. Sharp and clear. I can just feel the texture of the skin.
Great photos and closeup! :)
Ekkkk that is scary ^_^ I don't know but I don't have trust in there tail and teeth they look so sharp. Great shot for macro. Happy Monday!

you're right it was a great moment to catch a shot...although i would've been very wary about those guys, i remember getting attacked by sqirreils my 1st time in ny
I think I'd be too scared to let him eat out of my hand, but I'm a chicken! LoL!!
Great shots of the lil guy, though!
wow...it's just like a little dinosaur. amazing.
love your header~
You wowed us again! You made something quite ugly look a bit "cute". That last picture is pretty neat.
Ha! Too funny!
Awesome, I love the photos. I guess they are pretty used to people.
These iguanas cooperated great for you! I love the shot with his tongue out!
What awesome photos! I love that last one especially!
Great shots on the Iguanas !
My favorite is the close up on the head.
I would really love to sit there and feed them !
Lovely pics ! We don't have this kind of animal in Scandinavia. Those closeups are great !!!
