Nice Iguana...

Iguanas.
They were everywhere on our vacation to this place.
Here's one that came wandering through all of our belongings.

If he was going to get all into my stuff,
I figured it might be a good time to get up close and personal.

He posed rather nicely, don't you think?

Then like any good mother would do,
(insert sarcasm and rolled eyes here)
I allowed a total stranger talk me into letting the kids feed this iguana.

The kids were pretty much thrilled
and so was the iguana,
but what was I thinking?!
Ummm... I wasn't.
It all seemed fairly harmless and it probably was,
but I have a post planned for tomorrow (complete with video) that may negate that thought.
We'll call it... when good iguanas go bad.
This one...  despite the fact that he was sticking his tongue out at me,
he was a good iguana.

Many more close ups to be found at Lisa's Macro Monday.

I like your second one, the close-up head shot, the best. What a handsome dude!

The iguana seems tame, it doesn't bother anyone , does it? it probably got too used to the camera! lol

Great photos! I wouldn't feed a wild animal. Just scares me. You never know when they might "go bad".

Great shots but I'd certainly be nervous about getting too close! They're like little dinosaurs aren't they? :)

I love iguanas. We got close up and personal with them in St. Thomas but I never had an episode of the "when good iguanas go bad" I'm looking forward to the video, especially since it sounds like nobody really got harmed in the making of it.

GREAT SHOTS!!!!!

VERY cool shots! I bet the kids were thrilled! I might have been more cautious, but then, when I think about some of the things I let my boys do when they were young, maybe not! LOL!
