As I stood waiting to meet up with the ten other members of my fair-going group,
I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the carousel.
And I thought to myself,
"Self, this would be a good time to take a self portrait for Jess' Facing Yourself challenge."
I took many pictures trying to get the composition right.
(Or at least actually get the reflection somewhere in the shot.)
It also took me a while to remember to "say cheese."
(Or laugh at myself for looking silly.)

Ooooh fun!!! I love carnivals. I love self portraits!!! I love this post. :)
H! I can just imagine you figuring out exactly where and at what angle to hold the camera at... and then being like, "oh, maybe I should smile!" I think I've scowled more than smiled in mine!
FUN selfie Colleen!
Thats a rad self portrait. With lots and lots of radness.
Clever yet again!
did anyone catch ya, facing yourself?
Nice! You inspire me... maybe I should do it too...

I've caught myself being too serious while trying to shoot myself too, lol. Love your smiling self. HI!
very cool reflection
Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog! I love, love, love your reflection in the carousel! There's always been a soft spot for carousels in my heart; how cool to have thought of that and caught it just right!
