Hmmmm... yeah, so doorways??
They're not exactly my muse.
I've seen some really great "door" shots, very artistic.
But I didn't think I could pull it off, so I brought my favorite most willing model
and it's a good thing I did.
I went to the one place that I could think of that might have some interesting doors, Manassas battlefield.
(Otherwise, you'd be seeing shots of the inside of my front door, or maybe the Target sliding doors,
because those are the only other two places I've been this week.)
The doors... they were okay.
The weather was not so good.
And my focus was off in every. single. shot.
The stoop was really cold!
"Uh, Mom? Can I get up now?"
So I let her stand back up and she was much happier.
We popped back in the car, drove to another spot,
and ran across an open field head first into hurricane force winds
(well, it felt that way!)
We used the old house as a wind break
and tried out another set of doors.
But hey...
look over there...
That's a cool door.
Now run out into the wind and stand by that door.
No, no....
BY the door...
just step a little to the right,
My right.
Can you look at me?
That's it... turn your body this way and....
Never mind... I'll just move... okay?
Close enough, I guess....
Wait! Don't run off!
I see another door!
Yeah, I know it's cold.
Smile!
Okay... lets go back to the car!
It's coooooold out here.

I really liked the white barn looking door!
You crack me up! I love the narrative. Totally sounds like real life. I'm just amazed she's so cooperative! ;)

Hilarious! I know I have said all those things often. I do love the doors you chose. A lot of history- they speak volumes.

I love your progression of photos...and you chose some great doors to photograph!
And, tell me, why is your model so much more willing than mine??
Bless her heart!! You found some really cool doors, though!
Very cute! She only looks a little cold in that last one. ;)
These are so cute! My kids are the same way...they never seem to understand what I'm asking them to do for a picture. :)
Very Funny!! How much longer do you think your willing model will still be willing? She managed to keep a "smile" on her face in that last picture...my favorite!
Too funny :) And great pictures of doors, always nice to have a willing model :) I attempted to get my sister to pose this week - but she wouldnt even hear me :) :)
