Making time for fun in the middle of the busy-ness...

I don't often take pictures of the things that truly keep me busy each day.
You have to be in an especially creative mood to make school work, laundry,
and dishes look good in photographs.

This day was busier than some.

There were lots of places to go and kids to transport.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, I found a free hour...
plenty of time for a quick photo shoot.

My version of fun.

We'd normally walk here, but due to the busy-ness of the day,
we decided to drive and park as close as possible.

Julia was a good sport and risked getting wet as she waded across the slippery rocks.
We were there for less than half an hour.
Maybe it added to the busy-ness of the day, or maybe it gave us a break from it all.
I'm not sure.

But I'm glad we made some time to enjoy the weather and have a little fun.

So wait...running kids around and washing dishes isn't glamourous? You burst my bubble! What a fun little getaway though. The park is all lush and green and your Julia cooperated. I don't think it gets any better than that!

Looks like it added to the calm and joy of your day. Love the composition of the last one. Didn't you post a similar iphone pic? Or should I not ask? ;)
