Fall back...

I don't really care for this whole daylight savings time thing.
I kind of think that we should leave well enough alone.
And as much as I appreciate the concept of that "extra hour" of sleep,
I never actually get it and generally just have an extra hour of daytime.
(Also useful, but still...)
What I don't like is having an hour less daylight.  Sad...

As soon as the clocks turned back, I found myself looking toward the winter solstice.
It may be the shortest day of the year,
but after that the sun gradually inches it's way back, bringing longer and longer days.
I found myself anticipating the gradual lengthening of days until Summer finally rolls back around.

Don't think I'm wishing away the wonderfulness that is Thanksgiving and Christmas and snow days.
I like them too.
For now, rather than looking so far ahead to next summer,
I think I'll look into the more recent past and remember, hold onto, enjoy
the memories of our incredible summer adventure.

In case you didn't know....I really love your pictures!

I feel the same way about the time change. I too, use the extra hour as a daytime hour.

It’s so nice to see your gorgeous photography style again. Love the look of the last one, it’s just so peaceful.

I feel the same way. DST doesn't change any amount of sunlight we get, it's just earlier in the day, which is fine if you like to get up early, but I don't like the sun setting so "early". Anyways, I blame Ben Franklin.

Changing the time is always a bad thing when small children are involved.

And of your entire adventure, the one photo you chose today to represent the whole thing is a ND pic? Woot woot!

I agree with Jess. It is hard to change time especially with kiddos.

And I look forward to summer, too. Even though it just ended. le sigh.

If we all hate it, why on earth do they bother to turn that clock backwards ( or forward)? I still don't get the point of all this, I hate it!
Love your photo's though!
